LumeBrains (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a software engineering company based in Lahore, Pakistan, and is responsible for the personal information described here.
Information we collect
When you contact us
If you use our contact form, we collect your name and email address, and — if you choose to provide them — your company name and phone number, together with the topic you select and your message. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
When you apply for a job
If you apply for a role or send a general application, we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number and CV, and — if you choose to provide them — a link to your LinkedIn, GitHub or portfolio and a cover note. We also record which role you applied for and when.
Please don’t include sensitive information in your CV or messages that we don’t need, such as identity-document numbers, health information, or religious or political beliefs.
When you browse this website
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the website is used. It does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites; it records aggregated information such as the pages viewed, the referring website, and the country, browser and device type of visitors. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs — such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested — to keep the website secure and running.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. WordPress sets essential cookies only for people who log in to the website’s admin area (our team).
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss your project — because you asked us to, and in our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- To consider your job application and contact you about it — based on your consent, and to take steps before a possible employment or contract agreement.
- To keep the website secure and understand how it is used — in our legitimate interest in running a safe, useful website.
- To meet legal obligations where they apply.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for automated decision-making, and we do not add you to marketing emails.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run this website and our email — such as our website host, our email provider and Cloudflare (analytics) — and only as needed for them to provide their services. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to professional advisers where necessary. We never sell or rent your information.
International transfers
We are based in Pakistan and work with clients and candidates around the world. Our service providers may store or process information in other countries. When information is transferred internationally, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards to protect it.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries are kept for 24 months after we receive them, after which they are deleted automatically.
- Job applications and CVs are kept for 12 months after we receive them, after which the application and CV are deleted automatically. If you join LumeBrains, your application becomes part of your employment records.
- Emails we exchange are kept for as long as needed for the conversation and for our business records.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.
How we protect it
Access to enquiries and applications is limited to our team. CVs are stored privately — not in the public media library — and can only be downloaded by authorised, logged-in team members. The website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — for example in the UK or the European Union — you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to or restrict how we use it;
- receive a copy of it in a portable format; and
- withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it).

Children
This website is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

This website links to other websites, such as our LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook pages. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
